Jazz Only: The Revolution Will Not Be Televised pt.2 Music by Alber & I Maledetti, featuring special guest Yung Mehico. Video installation by Metaphysic. 'You will not be able to stay home, brother. You will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out. After its first iteration in May, The Revolution WIll Not Be Televised will return at In The Lowest Ferns for their monthly Jazz Only series. This is your chance to unplug and come experience some of the newest, present sounds this city has to offer. The revolution will be live.' Alber (Alberto Racanati) is a genre-bending musician originally from Southern Italy, transplanted in the United States. His music is a blend reminiscent of acid jazz, electronica and beat culture, deeply influenced by the connection to the American cityscape and all the musical cultures within. A synth-heavy electronic beat describes the bright downtown lights, longing for times and places that never were. With his live band Alber & I Maledetti, he grouped some of the best musicians in the city to take his vision to the stage. Matt Carrillo, aka Yung Mehico, is a multi-platinum artist, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist whose roots in jazz evolved into a sound that bridges hip hop, R&B, and soul. Since moving to New York City, he’s become a trusted collaborator within the Hip Hop and R&B world—laying down keys for The Weeknd, playing sax with Action Bronson, and crafting immersive soundscapes alongside producers like Harry Fraud and The Alchemist. Blending genres with ease, his music resonates for its richness, rhythm, and undeniable soul.

UK Garage (UKG) Night by Saul Gucci, Sync with special guest Petty Offense and Tech Dept. Join us for the fifth installment of UKG night, celebrating all genres of the UK underground music scene. From garage to bass to techno, two of KC’s best UKG selectors, Saul Gucci and Sync, will keep the dance floor moving all night with a little help from a special guests, Petty Offense and Tech Dept. UK Garage (or simply "Garage") is a genre that emerged in the UK in the late 1990s and early 2000s, primarily drawing influence from US house, jungle, drum and bass, and other genres of the UK underground music scene. At tempos ranging from 130-150 bpm, garage music is known for its upbeat tempo, swung beats and groovy bass lines.
